Phoenix Mars Lander on arctic plain

Phoenix Mars Lander on arctic plain

Listen to the Press Conference by NASA scientists talking about the soil samples from Mars that Phoenix collected.

They are not making a conclusive statement yet … [it's necessary to do peer review etc ...].

Hoping to find microbes, they have promised to share results as soon as they are convinced of their findings.

There is a lot of work left to do … “Could the rocket bosters have been a source of contamination etc…” ? So an answer is probably going to be a long time in coming.
(at least several months – they are still in the “collecting data” stage )

They are happy to have the attention of the bloggers, so pass the info along. It’s time to shine the light on some deserving scientists. :-)

I wouldn’t put it past them to “plant” some results.

After all, if life were supposedly found on Mars, think of the funding that might flow to NASA for actual real exploration of the plant.

Finding life there will be as likely as finding the “weapons of mass destruction” but if the government will fake reasons for a war they would certainly fake this.

LOL!

By the way, I read in your bio that you don’t like funides pusing ideas on your kids.

I approve. And I don’t like atheists pushing ideas on my kids.

Otherwise, atheists can do what they want.

Just keep your hands off my kids.

Not a problem. I’m retired and not an elected official.
BTW – I’m not atheist. I’m agnostic.

When asked what is beyond the horizon of the known, we must say that we do not know.
