There is no way that I can possibly do a post about this that will ever compare to what Professor Myers would do – so I’m not even going to try, but I took a look at these eyes and I had to put them on my blog.

These eyes are quite beautiful, don’t you think?

Cocatoo Squid

Detection of “a variety of pollutants in specimens collected from more than 3,000 feet deep is evidence that human-produced chemicals are reaching remote areas of the open ocean, accumulating in prey species, and therefore available to higher levels of marine life. Contamination of the deep-sea food web is happening, and it is a real concern.”

It’s such a shame that human interruption is affecting these beautiful creatures.
